A truthful deer

I recently saw a trailer of the hollywood movie 'It could happen to you'. A beautifully crafted, simple, generous, kind hearted story made me feel - the generosity and honesty is still there, at least in the movie stories. It make me believe that humanity exists even today, thou in reel life.     Who in the right minds would sacrifice half of their lottery win? Many would say "only a fool can do so". In the movie, thou fictional, has a good message in those lines. Being true to yourself matters the most. Empathy matters even more. Good deeds is never wasted, it always returns back. Getting the justice may be slow if you are on the right path, but is never denied.      Being truthful, may not be make us overnight success, but it will assure us that only the right ones remain with us. However hard it is to be truthful to oneself, it is all going to be worth it.      Symbolically, deer is the animal that has the association with ...

Oh man, shed your skin...

I recently came across an Instagram reel that spoke about how humans, too, undergo rebirth— spiritually . The idea fascinated me. I began wondering what it really takes to be reborn within this very lifetime. At first, my thoughts were rooted in the material world. Later, I realized that the reel wasn’t talking about a physical rebirth at all—it was pointing toward spiritual rebirth . So, let’s take a deeper dive.      We’ve all heard of snakes shedding their skin and butterflies undergoing metamorphosis. But what about human spiritual transformation ?      This kind of transformation is not for the faint-hearted. In many ways, your old self has to die. By that, I mean old habits begin to fall away, people who are no longer meant to walk with you may leave, and core beliefs that no longer serve you start to change. It can feel uncomfortable—even painful at times. But if you are willing to walk through this process, life eventually ...

Are we(Humans) also the co-creators?

Interestingly I watched a video of a spiritual guru today where she said we are co-creators of reality along with the Supreme power. Yes, I agree we have all the power to manifest and create our own reality. But it does come at a cost, we are bound to face the consequences of the reality that we create.      Why not we look at it from another angle, why not surrender to the Supreme being to lead the life that he wants us to live? After all, aren't we going slow if we are not on the path laid out by Him? Ultimately He knows the best. If we deviate from this path, obviously, we are slow. Would 'surrender' be the solution to all the problems we have?      It is like a Samurai's sword move, elegant, fearless, guided by his intuition. Wouldn't that be more effective than our own move? Yes, it is the ultimate goal of the human being. Being thoughtless and being guided by supreme power within us. A perfect example would be Tai-chi.   ...

I choose to be 'Me'

Aren't we all filled with great expectations from our environment? Be it from our family, friends, company or your circle.  Do you want to live up to the expectations of them or be yourself irrespective of what others think of you?  There is nothing wrong with others expecting something from you, isn't it? The real question would be 'if you want to match theirs or yours?' Haha...it is your life after all, correct?        In the midst of this expectation chaos, we need to find our self and maintain our true identity. Is that difficult? I don't think so. Well, not to me at least. I owe this to the latest vipassana meditation technique that I learnt recently. It is because of this, I choose to be 'Me'. What better than being yourself?        Living up to the expectations, keeping up the perceptions are all great. But the one thing that really no one can take away from you is your true identity. Let us all be ou...

Essence of a newspaper!

Every morning starts when the newspaper boy throws the morning news on your doorstep. With a coffee in one hand and the pleasure of reading the paper on the other hand is just the best way to start the day. As a kid I always loved the sports page, with cricket and then tennis. Reading about Andre Agassi, Steffi Graf, Pete Sampras was just as thrilling as the Sachin Tendulkar making a century. Growing up I happen to get fascinated with the science articles that used to be published in these papers. But later on found that some of these articles are still in research, something like a hypothesis which is yet to be proved. Hmmm that makes me think again why publish such articles at all. There are a few rumours that Indian newspapers are biased towards the few parties which makes me think are these news true. Anyway I never bothered much about the political news. Hardly mattered to me till few years back. Why this whole drama of publishing, when the newspapers do not worry ab...
