A myth called 'Invention'!
Man considers himself the supreme being on this planet Earth (maybe even the Mars in the near future). We take the credit for recreating the wonders that God has bestowed upon us. Just to quote an example, the numerous scientific patents are being filed every year for being so called innovative, but have we truly invented something is my question to the mankind. Some food for thought for you.
From my perspective, we have only been able to discover the hidden treasures which God (or you may name it as some super natural power if you have a bias towards calling Him - God) has given us. Let me take you through what I intend to say here. Have we ever truly invented something? Be it Thomas Edison, Graham Bell, Archimedes, Louis Pasteur, Newton, Alfred Noble from old times or Steve Jobs, Elon Musk, Larry Page from our recent past have only able to discover something using their mind rather than inventing something.
In the medical field, we consider we have pioneered ourselves in being able to artificially able to give birth to a new baby in a laboratory. But have we created something? No to me. We were able to play around with the cells to simulate an artificial environment that is similar to a mother's womb.
In technical field, today we pride of an invention called Virtual reality (are you kidding me - when we have Augmented reality already as our prestigious innovation or so we boast of it) which is too naive when you look at all those creations rather what God has shown us. Take a bow man for that creator instead of showing off some tiny bit that you have done. I do know am taking you towards humility and its need for the mankind to learn who is on the verge of creating needless things.
We have invented plastic and made this world a mess with it. After figuring out its side effects now we want to go back to something more Eco-friendly. Where are we heading to this time? Isn't life so simple with other animals? They don't fiddle with the ecosystem of Nature and just try to be within it.
Our ambitions have no limit. Now we want to reach Mars, probably look for setting up a society there. In the process leave some garbage in to the space. I wonder sometimes if there is an other living beings in other galaxy who think Humans are the ultimate idiots. We create lot of things just to figure out that we have not created anything perfect and in the process spoil nature's harmony. Have we truly achieved anything by doing so? On a positive note we are doing our karma may be ignorantly, but we are. Learning things on the way and realizing that He is the ultimate creator whom we are just mimicking.
I recently saw the movie 'Point Break' which is based on the principle 'Osaki 8' named after Ono Osaki, an Eco-warrior who challenged the extreme sports world to a series of eight ordeals that honors the forces of nature. In the movie two views come up - one view is finding the perfect line while doing the challenge which leads to enlightenment and other view is to find the balance rather than finding the enlightenment by itself. Nevertheless whose view is best is for you to decide.
The Osaki 8 include:
Haven't we disturbed the mother Nature already a lot in the name of our inventions?
