"Love the way she sketches", that was my first thought few years ago when I saw a short video on how a pencil sketch was done. It was during Covid time and was locked in my four walls. For many Covid times were hard, am sorry for their loss. But to me, it helped me introspect and find many a hobbies. I enjoyed the cooking, blogging and stuff like that. But one thing that stood out was my pencil sketch. Then I regained the touch of stroking and shading, couple of months back. Each time I start a sketch, I get so engrossed in to it, that I loose track of time. Every stroke and every shade, makes me feel am still learning and yearning to do better. However there are certain things that it definitely teaches us. To name a few : a) importance of the shades with white spaces around it. b) importance of erasing part of the deep shade to make the contrast stand out. c) importance of depth of pencil re-strokes that highlights the curve...
I just watched a video on youtube - Foreign Media on INDIA : Britain is rich because of INDIA . The discussion starts with the Shashi Tharoor's viral speech at oxford where he has been very vocal about Britain owing reparations to India. Let me ask you "Do you want today's Britishers to pay for what their ancestors did?". Aren't we self sufficient to stand up on our feet, forgetting the past? With that said, a sincere apology from the Britain would have solved the issue....again that is my opinion. Imagine India, if neither the Moghuls nor the British had invaded our country. I just can't believe the cultural richness we would have still enjoyed. I might be a little short-sighted by restricting my view to only cultural side, on a broader aspect what about our education system, our intellectual abilities, our economic supreme to name a few. Lest we can't change the past, but yes we can learn from it. I do agree that India los...
There say "When life gives you lemon, make a lemonade out of it". Most of us suffer in life due to the high expectations of ourselves or trying to match the expectations set by your surrounding people. What if there is an alternative to this? Wouldn't it be just great to embrace it. Nature has a solution to every problem we face. Its just that while growing up, we (humans) lose the sense of observation. Look at the tree and the Sun. Tree gives shelter to everyone, no bias even if he is a criminal. Sun shines every morning and doesn't take a holiday to rest. A flower blooms and doesn't worry if the next one is brighter or bigger than itself. Its obvious that Mother Nature has a lot to offer. Its just our limitation of mind that is hold us back to learn from it. Photo courtesy- internet Aren't we entangled a lot in the mess cre ated by ourselves? We tend to fall in to our own trap and live a miserable life. For instance, Corona ...
