International dilemma!!

   To globalize or to be more protective is the dilemma that most Governments have in today's world. It surely is visible by the latest immigration rules laid out by Donald Trump, the US president. The latest to follow the trend has been Australian PM Malcolm Turnbull. In the recent past, Brexit is another example for this. Certainly this is not leading to the one globalised world that economists fancy.     That leaves me with the question - why are these governments from developed nations showing protectionism over globalisation? In my view two things matter for these Governments - their culture and future growth, apart from the short term goal of showcasing good job growth internally. Obvious reason is they respect their nation and want to maintain certain quality in their standard of living and perceive that immigrants can cause real threat to their culture. Globalization - is it at stake?

      The world is ready for globalization but patriotic exuberance, petty politics from so called nation rulers are spoiling it.  Globalization is the future. You can only delay it so far as you think you can. The sooner the world gets globalized the better for the mankind.      A world where organic farming of wheat is produced by Canada, whose laborers come from Africa or China with the tractors used coming from Germany and using the idea of Indian vedic principles are used is not far from imagination. Look at the world as one country, isn't it time we had one government ruling this whole world? One world currency, one legal system and one political governance empowered to bring the collaboration among the nations. What is stopping us? Isn't human mind allowed to expand and reach for its limitation? A broader perspective of things, a larger than life picture, a higher purpose and meaning to life is what is needed.     As Swami Vivekanan...
