A company man - Korean movie review

I love movies...Korean movies are something that I have been loving it more recently. My favorities being action oriented thrillers and a drama. I got to see all of them in one movie....it is called ' A Company Man '. It being a Korean movie was icing on the cake.     The best part of this movie is the contrast that is shown between job and love. Do you love you job if it has two sides to it? One side is to show the world that you are a simple metal trading company and on the other side is the deadly assassinations that are carried out. Look at the camouflage at the company level. Even better is the main character's dilemma that is shown who is initially torn between his murderous job and love for his singing.       The way the movie goes on is show beautifully with how the main character wants to save the 20 year old kid and his family. To what extent he goes on to try and save them. Interestingly the film is woven between the conflicts that ar...

Raees...wrong message conveyed!

This is my opinion of the movie 'Raees'.        On seeing the movie 'Raees' today, I wanted to understand the intent of the director. Yes it is a good entertainer, when it comes to the message it conveys, it is a bit misleading. About  70% of the movie it shows a lead character rising from the bottom using unethical means to grow the business. At last he may die, but glorying a man who chose wrong path to achieve his means and then saying he was killed, because he chose the path does not send correct message to the audience. I agree Indian audience are matured to understand it, but how much percentage of it.        It is a movie inspired from the real life story of Gujrat's don Abdul Latif. Abdul had middle-class upbringing who went on to own the illegal liquor empire in Gujrat was the most wanted criminal in 1980s & 1990s. He was even the right hand of the underworld don Dawood Ibrahim. Abdul was finally kille...

The Greatest Game Ever Played!!!

"The Greatest Game Ever Played" a movie on golf is probably one of my all time favorite movies. It is based on a true story of Francis Ouimet,an American who won the 1913 US open. An amateur golfer who went on to win the championship against British players named Harry Vardon and Ted Ray. It was a matter of pride for Americans who eventually retained their cup.    Movie is quite inspiring as Francis was a common peasant's son and went on to become a champion against his own role model(Harry Vardon). The best character of the movie which I found was the caddy Eddie who was hardly 10 years. His enthusiasm, charisma, maturity for a 10 year old is commendable.      It all starts when Francis's parents have bought a house on the edge of the 17th hole of 'The Country Club' in Brookline, Massachusetts. All his young life Francis was a caddy and then went on to become the most admired Golfer of his time.      Shia LaBeouf has done an outs...

Table no 21....an interesting thriller!!!

I am pretty sure you have watched a Bollywood movie named Table no 21. If not,I suggest please do so. A beautifully scripted movie with a nice message in it. Paresh Rawal has acted pretty decently in the movie and what makes it such a nice watch is the way the movie keeps you on your toes. Rajeev Khandelwal and Tina Desai do add the necessary glamour to the movie. A reality shows is quiet a good theme in movies but this one has something to learn from it. Ragging, can be so cruel when it is done on a soft heart which is yet to see the ruthless world. As per our Indian constitution, article 21 does not permit it either. Can you even imagine being ragged so repeatedly that you let a person half dead much before his actual death occurs? The movie revolves around the theme of ragging and how Paresh Rawal who is Mr. Khan in the movie let Rajeev and Tina realise their mistakes they did during their college days which has caused his son to be half dead. I just loved the w...
