AI - an enabler or a destroyer?

We all know that ChatGPT is the buzzword of recent times. It is indeed the most revolutionary thing to have a conversational AI tool that can crack exams, write poems, code, help us in all ways possible. But is this a start of a new era which can destroy Human species or is this an aid to our living being? A big question, indeed. Let us find the answers.       Looking back at the history in India, when computers were introduced in Banks. Lot of banking folks felt scared to adapt to it, due to the fear of losing jobs. Fast forward to today, did they actually lose jobs? May be the ones who did not adapt and learn how to operate on a computer. The shift in the job did happen. Most of the bankers today use computers to operate. It has made their life easy. But at the same time, their mental capability has reduced.      In the process of making our life easy, we have create machines and delegate mundane tasks to them.  There i...

Nature taking control!

Image
If we look at what the Corona virus (COVID-19) has done recently then we are sure to say that Nature is asking us to respect it more. Its gaining control over the evolving and immature human beings. I believe here are a few things nature is trying to teach us: - The cities which used to be the destination for villagers and small-towners for their employment are no more preferred. The employment demography is shifting back to the migrant's hometowns, at least for now. - "Cleanliness is next to Godliness", did we become less clean over years? It looks like as though we are to make this Earth a more cleaner place.  Its not just the hands, legs and faces that we are to be kept clean, the surroundings too. As a whole looks like we need to make our environment more greener. - In our conquest for survival we(humans) had started dominating the creatures on this mother Nature. Is it worth it? Karma has hit us back. Look at the nature's boomerang - SARS, Ebo...

Green Tax

Nature has everything for a man's need but not for his greed. If we appreciate the way Nature is preserving things thru biocycle, then it is better we learn things quickly. It is indeed our ignorance to acquire things that is making the future unlivable. As simple as water, air and food in today's world is so polluted, I sometimes wonder what my son (10 months old) would have when he turns 20 years or even at 10 years.      Ironically most of the management courses teach us to learn and how to make money by adding value to the existing business or create a new one. Yes sustainable businesses are indeed a lesson that we learn. Isn't the implementation of this sustainability a bigger issue today? But in the process of adding value, aren't we killing the nature? Hmm, I wonder if there is any company which has made money and not screwed up the environment.     The question is - has the time come for Governments to take extreme measures like ad...

Lone traveler!

Image
Lone travelling is bliss. I just feel in love with this photo on the internet which inspired me to write this blog. I do enjoy traveling if it is towards the nature. Traveling alone and being with the nature has its own perks. Isn't it a bliss when you hear the silence of the forest? The calmness in the picture with the God's rays can make tranquilize me easily. Photo courtesy - Internet Let me know if you have a photo that can speak a thousand words which you cherish. If travel makes you happy...let me know if you have any planned for the days to come. Together we can make the nature a better place by discovering the secrets hidden in it. What's say?

Being true to the nature!

Life is too short to indulge in everyday crap that we see, hear and sense. Ah, wouldn't it be better to live like animals, just think about it, all that you care is the day's food. Imagine you had the power to transform yourself from a human to any animal or a bird for a couple of years. Which one would you choose? :)       Healing power lies with the nature. Time is one such factor. Your sorrows, miseries don't last long. Even better when you just push the technological devices (laptop, phones, kindle or whatever) aside and just be with the nature. Of course, I meant being with yourself.  Silence your mind and listen to those birds singing, leaves falling off the trees, water flowing thru the stream. Haven't you felt the perfect harmony?       Imagination takes me to run around the jungle like a Tarzan or maybe play a game in Jumanji. Would you accompany me?  My trek to Mullanagiri (Chikmalagur) was a life changing experie...

A myth called 'Invention'!

Man considers himself the supreme being on this planet Earth (maybe even the Mars in the near future). We take the credit for recreating the wonders that God has bestowed upon us. Just to quote an example, the numerous scientific patents are being filed every year for being so called innovative, but have we truly invented something is my question to the mankind.  Some food for thought for you.     From my perspective, we have only been able to discover the hidden treasures which God (or you may name it as some super natural power if you have a bias towards calling Him - God) has given us. Let me take you through what I intend to say here. Have we ever truly invented something? Be it Thomas Edison, Graham Bell, Archimedes, Louis Pasteur, Newton, Alfred Noble  from old times or Steve Jobs, Elon Musk, Larry Page from our recent past have only able to discover something using their mind rather than inventing something.     In the...
