Nature taking control!
If we look at what the Corona virus (COVID-19) has done recently then we are sure to say that Nature is asking us to respect it more. Its gaining control over the evolving and immature human beings.
I believe here are a few things nature is trying to teach us:
- The cities which used to be the destination for villagers and small-towners for their employment are no more preferred. The employment demography is shifting back to the migrant's hometowns, at least for now.
- "Cleanliness is next to Godliness", did we become less clean over years? It looks like as though we are to make this Earth a more cleaner place. Its not just the hands, legs and faces that we are to be kept clean, the surroundings too. As a whole looks like we need to make our environment more greener.
- In our conquest for survival we(humans) had started dominating the creatures on this mother Nature. Is it worth it? Karma has hit us back. Look at the nature's boomerang - SARS, Ebola, COVID-19, etc.
- Economically few sectors which grew unproportionally are now looking for survival or will take years to revive. Real estate, manufacturing, supply chain, auto sector, apparel & textile, retail (especially the non-food), construction to name a few that are adversely affected. That would also mean the pharma, e-commerce/e-learning, FMCG & retail (food) are few that gained as well.
- We have started appreciating the true values of life and more thankful for the food that we eat, relationships we have, health that God has bestowed upon us.
As a whole, we seen the pace at which we were running has slowed down. Maybe it is trying to tell us to walk instead. Self-control, self-restraint matters more now. Testing our ability of resilience to the core, we are set to enter a new phase of life post lock-down.
Looking at the social media posts, we have started learning new hobbies or touched back the old ones that we had left off. After all life is more than just earning your bread. We have started helping each other more, for instance wealthy people are sponsoring the travels of the poor immigrants.
To conclude I think we are set for a new stage of life and hopefully we will continue our learnings to make a world a sustainable place.
Happy world environment day! Let the world be more green in color.
