Aha...need more of sustainable villages and not AI
I just happen to watch a good speech by
Andrew Ng on youtube on AI & how it can empower businesses of any scale.
Please watch it before you read my blog:

All due respect to him, we don't need democratization of AI, but democratization of sustainable villages
(like Auroville experimental village in India) as we are impacting the environment/natural resources in the name of AI. Humans don't need more education but rather less of it. We need more of wisdom & values than education.
Man is known for his 'constructive destruction' nature...and we call this as evolving. Being an Indian, I believe in ancient wisdom of ours. Even the bell curve applied to a human life tells us once you reach a certain height of gaining information or knowledge, the next step is to let go of it. After all, wisdom comes only with let go.
We are on the wrong path by giving away our capabilities to a machine in the name of evolution. We have
been justifying ourselves by giving examples of tribes did not need education, bankers did not need computers etc.
To
make our human life easier, we created gadgets and when it became too easy, we
invent more tools rather than sticking to the basics. I see the quest for greed
in our human minds that drives these innovations. Personally I believe we need
to teach ourselves not knowledge, but the art of living simplicity, the art of
gaining wisdom, the art of contentment.
Our
ancestors knew this and they kept their lives simple. Not because they cannot
invent or innovate, but they kept their greed in check. They made sure we did
not suffer due to their greed. Unfortunate to say, we are borrowing the resources
of our children in the name of business / entrepreneurship. Hope we learn faster
this time.
At
times I wonder if they is a alien species watching our stupidity and laughing
at us. In spite of all the capabilities, we keep constructing later to figure
out that we have destroyed more than we constructed. Maybe if you find such a
species, let me know, I will join them for a laugh.
Hahaha…may God give us more wisdom and love.
