Raees...wrong message conveyed!

This is my opinion of the movie 'Raees'.
On seeing the movie 'Raees' today, I wanted to understand the intent of the director. Yes it is a good entertainer, when it comes to the message it conveys, it is a bit misleading. About  70% of the movie it shows a lead character rising from the bottom using unethical means to grow the business. At last he may die, but glorying a man who chose wrong path to achieve his means and then saying he was killed, because he chose the path does not send correct message to the audience. I agree Indian audience are matured to understand it, but how much percentage of it.
It is a movie inspired from the real life story of Gujrat's don Abdul Latif. Abdul had middle-class upbringing who went on to own the illegal liquor empire in Gujrat was the most wanted criminal in 1980s & 1990s. He was even the right hand of the underworld don Dawood Ibrahim. Abdul was finally killed in 1997 by Ahmedabad police for the Mumbai blast of 1993. But as the movie shows he (character Raees) was misled by his boss in Mumbai and politicians. The real question is, is this a right message sent across? Was this originally so in Abdul Latif's case? Questions that rise out of this can be answered by the Ahmedabad crime branch police.
Let us understand the target audience and its impact. Raees is played by Shah Rukh Khan who has an excellent fan base in India and middle east countries. Mahira Khan is a Pakistani heart throb. In fact SRK started his career with negative roles and then became a hero. Now that the Indian audience have accepted him as a hero with positive image, showing him in a role that glorifies illegal means, unethical ways did not come out good. Did the movie get back its returns on investment? Yes it did. At what cost? Few movie fans in India worship SRK and showing him as a lead character with unethical means....nah, not the right message especially when it is based on a true story.  I do appreciate the presence of mind shown by character Raees in the movie while doing business, his affinity to grow his business, his versatility to enter politics. But after making him a messiah of the poor, the character was shown that he did the wrong doings for a reason. I don't think audience much appreciated this.
Movies have a huge impact in India especially if it is played by SRK, Salman Khan or Aamir Khan. The Indian audience are maturing but it is not good to take advantage of this. There is still a segment of moviegoers who take the message from movies. Look at recent movies Sultan from Salman Khan or Dangal from Aamir Khan made from real life incidents. They convey the inspiration needed for a better India. Sorry to say Raees is definitely a wrong message sent by glorifying a killer.
Hope the Bollywood movies convey correct messages in the future as India needs it.
