Enjoy travelling!!!

I was going thru my Pinterest photos and came across a nice thought provoking quote on travel, which made me write this blog.  The quote was about the reasons why you should travel. Don't ask me if you really need a reason to travel. Well, that is what drove me to that quote. I always have traveled for fun, if not for anything else. At times my travel has also included visiting the religious places for some pooja.

There is a saying in my native language (Kannada) "Desha nodu, kosha oodu", which goes to say to gain knowledge you have two paths - one by travelling and other by reading. I was brought up listening to this famous saying, so I always thought I can learn something from travelling. Can you imagine those were the only reasons I used to travel - fun and learn? Don't judge me.
With more maturity, I started enjoying the beauty of the sheer travel experience. The planning process became more efficient, yet clumsy at times. Now coming to the execution part of travel, it used to be not so bad. I enjoyed the cultures, food (my fav), talking to local people trying to understand what their life is all about. I did get to know about the major source of incomes, local food and obviously the most famous restaurants out there.
You know what the best place I have enjoyed was with my wife on a trip to Andaman and Nicobar islands. Believe me or not, the best fruit salad I have had till date was on a beach side. It was just mouth watering. I did enjoy my Gokarna trip, thou was looking for someone to share that experience. That beach side walk all the way to Shiva paada for almost 6 to 8 kilometers was something I will cherish forever.
Life is too short to miss out the beauty the nature has given us. I met an old couple during one of my trips who enjoyed trips every year twice. It is then I learned that to live life to the fullest you need to travel. Apart from being adventurous, it sometimes make you feel you are anonymous in the place. Isn't that an experience by itself?
World is a better place when you know how to fly. Wish I was a bird sometimes.
