Whatever was your reason to choose it, one thing is for certain that living simply will help you gain more with less rather than the other way round. 'Less for More' is the mantra that works here.
Where to start?
The mindset change is the biggest challenge in living simply. Once we intentional focus on it, we tend to change our thoughts. That leads to forming simple habits that can help declutter your mind, body home and environment as a whole. Its a gradual process but worth trying it.
- Decluttering the Environment
Easiest way is to start reducing the possessions (materialistic) and increasing self sufficiency in order to make way for a better lifestyle.
- Decluttering the mind
The other part to concentrate is the mind or mentally being simple...am sure meditation is the way. Pause or thinking one thing at a time and with mindfulness will help here. Compassionate living will help to go a long way.
- Decluttering the body
Eating less with minimalistic items. Cooking with less items but nutritious value in tact. Choosing Veganism over meat is one simple way to keep your body healthy.
- Decluttering the work
Revisiting our finances, time we work to make way for quality time with yourself and satisfied lifestyle. Including the sustainability in our work life and making the work time-boxed with batches can lead to more stress free life.
Finally do take time to pause every hour or two hours once. That is the secret to living simply.
Happy living simply! Let the journey begin.
