Freak out Saturday - OMG 2 & meditation
After a while, I got my free time yesterday and wanted to keep myself away from work. At times, I can keep on going and going when it comes to work, that I feel jaded. Yesterday was my break day. I started my day with a movie in Global Malls, went to OMG2. Since I saw its trailer and my obsession with Gods, made this an obvious choice.
By the way, I did enjoy the OMG part 1 too, where Paresh Rawal filed a case against God for an earthquake. It was Krishna who came to his rescue there. OMG2 is on a totally different level. The message in the movie was not just about the religious beliefs, but how our Indian education system was so advanced in ancient history.
It reminds me of Lord Macaulay's address to the British parliament on 2nd Feb 1835, where he emphasizes that in order for them to dominate India, they need to break our education system. A snippet of his speech in the pic below:

I always believed that God's abundance has so much more to offer than feeling like limited resources and our ignorance to dominate. I see abundance rather than limitation in God's grace.
Coming back to the movie, OMG2, director Amit Rai has crafted it beautifully with multiple agendas like sex education in schools, teenager angst, religious tolerance & faith, societal discrimination in one single movie. Hats off to you director.
Highlight of the movie is the way the arguments were presented in the court by Pankaj Tripathi and Yami Gautam. Indian sentiments are in full flow in the movie. After a break taking movie, which made me laugh, cry and enjoy, I was on my way back home.
On the way back, I stumbled upon Tri-Pyramid meditation center near Rajarajeswari temple and went inside. Did some meditation for 1 hour inside it, to realize that I had some work to finish back home. I have heard a lot of negative comments on using pyramid for meditation, but I am not the one who gets bothered about other's opinion or comments either.
Had a complete blast whole day till evening, and then it stuck that I have few pending work at office to finish up. Nevertheless, this blog was written for me to highlight that a movie like OMG2 can bring change to mindset, if the message is consumed properly.
Loved the message in the movie.
I have faith and belief in Indian way of education. We are here to make the world a better place. Our ancient gurukuls taught sex education to kids. Nothing new in it. Somewhere down the 200–300 years, we had lost track. Now I am confident our spirituality will lead us back to where we were.
Let the human race prosper through collaboration rather than dominate.
