Leave the ego for a better eco...

Nature has its own way of handling things...it certainly does not need human intervention, to the extent that we tamper the ecological system. Don't you agree? We humans think we want to use our so called expertise in Science, Bio technology, AI to tap into every corner of what God's gift is.
Yes I am referring to today's news - Mustard is set to become the first Genetically Modified food and Indian government is on the verge of approving this. To me this is a disaster in the making, asking for trouble from the mother nature as you are tampering the ecological system. Let me substantiate this...these Genetically Modified (GM for short) foods are pests/insects resistance. I might keep the bad pests away but what about those bees which help transfer the pollen or those birds that eat up your bad crop for better yield. When the system is tampered, it will fight for survival and what is at stake is when these these birds, insects start adaptation for the GM foods. In turn this might carry the genes mutated to other animals. What a disaster in the making, don't you think?
God has created this world to live in peace and harmony by co-existing with other animals...with that I just don't mean humans helping each other only. All creatures are dependent on each other and that is the true nature of survival. We (humans) are middling with this chain that are bound to cause harm to ourselves in the long run. GM foods intake are already said to be have low resistance to antibiotics, as the claim is GM foods themselves have antibiotic properties in them.
I appreciate the knowledge we have gained but I sense that we are not minding ourselves and interfering too much in the nature's way. Gene mutation is good for experiments, but implementing this for reality? That sounds scary to me.
Man's ego has already led to disastrous consequences. It is high time we learn for a better future.
