Newcomer!
I always postponed things in my life. Be it my marriage, or getting a promotion or even a child. But one thing definitely is true. Whatever happened to me at the time when it supposed to happen till date, made my life better.
Dude, don't get a wrong picture, I love my life. Just that I did not rush anything here(this life on this planet Earth). One thing definitely made an impact that I never thought would do.
That is the newcomer to our life a year ago. Let me go back to April last year. I was at the hospital and never expected would even get inside the operation theater in my life to see whats in store for me. Hurrah, but I did! At around noon, I was blessed with a little fellow whom I had already spoken to. This guy was communicating with me even before he was born. Yes from his womb, non-verbally thou. His birth brought tears in her eyes. I thought she was disappointed that we had a boy. Little did I knew that she was happy that her father was reborn.
Just when I went out of ops theater to announce that the baby has arrived, I got the scolding from my mom as I did not tell her whether it was a boy or a girl. No don't get me wrong again, my mom too did not had any biases towards the gender.
One memorable moment happened on the third day, when the nurse gave my prince to me to carry him to the lactating session. Oops, my whole heart was in my hand. I never held a baby till now. And I had to carry him to another floor of the hospital. With all that I heard about how a new born baby would be delicate, I was given our kid to carry. I don't think I was so nervous my entire life till that moment. But believe me, I enjoyed it to every second. Probably the best feeling you have as a dad.
On 14th April, my son entered our house for first time. I am pretty sure he would cherish that moment his entire life (if he can remember). A smile here and a cry there makes your life full.
Its been a year now, as they say time flies. But the moments are there for me to cherish forever.
Happy birthday 'Rishik Rajath'. (belated thou). You have made our life better.
