Understanding 'Why'!

You might have heard of Simon Sinek, one of the best motivational speakers in this world.  This blog is dedicated to his topic 'Start with Why'. Please watch this before we proceed.

As Simon explains the concept of Golden Circle, the inspired organisations and inspired leaders are the ones who travel from the inner most circle of Why to the outer most circle of What unlike the rest. I hope that makes a huge difference.

Yes it is true that the question of 'Why' is at most importance and we need to address the purpose first. An analogy to the spiritual world - Intent behind every work matters and if it is good you are bound to achieve success in it. In the corporate world, understanding the purpose behind the customer's need is your first step. Marketing a product also starts with the addressing the either customer's need or want or desire. That should answer the 'Why' part.  Simon also explains this using Apple's example.
Why = My life's purpose is to be happy  (spiritually)
Next step comes the 'How' part or rather the process (in corporate world) or the paths (in spirituality)  you take to achieve the defined 'Why'. Marketers deal with how they plan to satisfy the customers need. How to sell the product to satisfy the needs of the customer is answered here.
How = I will achieve bliss thru meditation of awareness in every action (spiritually)
Finally the 'What' part defines the product you built for the customer. Spiritually it could be the final result of achieving the bliss thru service to mankind or giving alms to the poor and needy or just as simple as being happy thru meditative state of mind.
What = Achieved bliss in my life thru service to mankind (spiritually)

Great Leaders define the purpose ('why'), followed by steps used in achieving it('how') and finally unearth the purpose ('What').

Do share with me your Why, How and What!
